The COLLABORATIVE PORTFOLIO PROJECT is a collection of 14 original prints produced in the South Bronx by members of the MUD/BONE Studio 889 PRINTMAKING WORKSHOP. The prints were created during the summer of 2006. The completed portfolio represents a wide diversity of themes, styles and techniques. Alejandra Delfin has contributed two colorful prints exploring the natural beauty of The Barretto Bay. Moses Ros' work features his own unique symbolism and approach to larger issues. His "Shark Oil" is the only three dimensional application of printmaking in our portfolio. Anita Antonetty comes from a background in fabric design. Her images deal with pattern, color and texture. Amy Digi's images straddle the line between the figurative and the abstract—they reflect her manic energy and her passion for the figure. Jose Fuentes' imagery deals with folkloric subjects and memories of Puerto Rico. Pruden Dajer's prints are still lives featuring geometric patterns and shapes. Laura Cantor has contributed two color prints of plants at Wave Hill. The prints are a combination of relief printing and collagraph using various techniques such as reduction printing, viscosity, chin colle and three-dimensional application of printmaking.
